Yes, Fall Out Boy front man blue-eyed soul man Patrick Stump told MTV that the band is in their “first trimester” stage of their 4th Studio album (3rd according to the band, the refuse to awknowledge Take This To Your Grave as an album). The band has also dismissed rumors that their “next album will not be a folk album”. Oh darn! Patrick Stump also denied any rumors about collaborating with labelmates Cobra Starship. Check out your hip-hopped out Fall Out Boy remix below:
TGIF! Happy our is every hour, am I right? Probably not, I am sure most of you are stuck at work, or school. Me too. As everyone knows, the quick fix to surviving a Friday at work or at school is, of course, an truly outstanding, re-imagined song(s). I refrain from the term remix because the following tracks have pushed beyond the limits of an ordinary remix and transcended into a level of re-imagination. I didn’t really think re-imagination was possible, but if Mark Ronson can do it…
Here are your two you can make it till fucking 6pm! treats:
First off is this brilliant Arctic Monkeys and Killers mash up entitled “Scumbody Told Me”, this song skillfully meshes the twangy guitar riffs the Arctics drenched on the crowd favorite “When The Sun Goes Down”, and the Killers’ debut single that lead them to the love/hate infamy they now possess. Wow, can you believe someone has remixed Justice’s “D.A.N.C.E.”?! Groudbreaking! It amazes me that no one has ever tried to do this before, oh wait… but when P4K dished that Benny Blanco, Mos Def, and Spank Rock were on the track, I was on board. A Hip-Hop remix intrigued me, after one listen, I was hooked. One of the best D.A.N.C.E remixes to date, rivals Stuart Prices mix… yes I said it!

You know that feeling you get when you get your hands on one amazing track and how you force it onto repeat for hours on end? Lately, I have been having trouble finding a remix that mad me going ga-ga. Diplo changed all that with his remix/mash-up of an adored Beatles track. It goes a little something like this: MP3 | Diplo vs. The Beatles – Shake It Out (Twist and Shout)
What an amazing way to kick start your weekend. Have a good one!
Here’s a quicky just in time for lunch. Busy, busy day. I have a massive paper due in, oh, 3 hours. Anywho, here are a handful of massively catchy pop tunes that will most likely vacate the inner bowels of your brain for quite a while. Don’t be shy, give them a shot.
I’m not a huge fan of Chris Brown. None of his material ever interested me. Everything that came from this kid always sounded too over the top, including this new single “Kiss Kiss” which features an equally annoying and overrated T-Pain. I’m still confused as to why this song is No. 1 in America this week, I’d take Soulja Boy over this fool any day. Almost as if he can somehow read my mind, DJ Eli whips out his spin of “Kiss Kiss” with buddies Doug Grayson and Wale.
The track’s slow, hollow instrumentals and sleek synthesizers and sirens flawlessly distract the listener of Brown’s vocal limitations and does well with T-Pains technocorded spins.
I am not completely convinced of the stability of this track as a whole. I can see it will do fantastically well in Urban radio, and apparently its a hit on iTunes. Which makes me a tad bit sad.
It’s official, Kanye’s fourth single off of Graduation will be “Flashing Lights”. An excellent choice, but I was sure he’d release “Homecoming” by now, it seems to be manufactured for Urban Radio. Well, I guess anything this guy does will be blasted for months. “Flashing Light”, next to “Drunk And Hot Girls” has to be the most experimental song hailing from the set. The synthesizers work well and over all its extremely enjoyable. Here are two great remixes, I’m sure you’ll appreciate them.
I always look forward to our Friday night remixes, and it makes happy that a lot of you guys do too! Earlier this morning I thought it might be fun if every Friday I had a theme revolving around the remixes… I dropped that idea about a minute later. It seemed stupid. So, yeah, here’s to just darn good remixes.
